At home and adjusting well...

Well we are all at home and adjusting well! Sofia was deemed fit to come home Wednesday night after all of her tests and check-ups. Mom was also doing well enough to come home and continue her recuperation. Grandma Debbie arrived Wednesday afternoon and has been a great help with diapers and burping. I decided to take Thursday and Friday off to help Sofia get used to her new home with new smells, sounds, and constant sniffing from Jack the Cat and Ms. Layla. Today the Hospital is sending out a nurse/lactation consultant to check in on Meg and Sofia. Just another amazing service provide by St. Joesph's Hospital and the L&D Department. Thank you all for your kind words in Sofia's first blog. Reading your comments made me cry knowing how much love there is in the world for her and our family. Here are some new pictures for your admiring eyes. In each picture she is either sleeping, praying, or tring to solve the problems of the world. What a sweet child.

Sofia looks very pretty in pink! Nice to have a hatless portrait so we can see her lovely locks. Glad all is well.

Love you lots,

Oh, Sofia is so beautiful! Plus, I love how you pointed out that she is doing more than just sleeping. Babies are amazing in how they can accomplish so much, and they make it look easy! I'm glad to hear that Meg is doing well and that Grandma Debbie is there to help. (Plus, I'm sure that Gram is loving every minute of being with her TWO babies - and enjoying seeing Meg be a mother now.)

P.S. I had to laugh when I saw that you posted the same thing twice - that is just the start of how things are going to be now that this little baby is there to run the show!

I think she is praying..."Lord, I don't know what you're doing to me here...shaking up my life like this. What was wrong with that warm, dark, cozy place where I was?? But...I think these people smiling at me love me a lot - so I thank you for them. I really think I'm going to like it in this family. Amen"

She looks great. Keep the pics coming! We can't get enough!!

She's beautiful!

Lee & I just got home from vacation so this is the first chance I've had to see her pictures! Thank you for posting them and sharing them with all of us!

Your dad emailed the news to Lee while we were gone so we've been keeping you in our thoughts. As a matter of fact, we were so happy about Sofia's arrival that we picked up a little something for her while we were on vacation (I'll get it in the mail sometime this week).

Congratulations! She's a lucky little girl to have such adoring parents!

Good to see your all home safe and sound.Saw Grandpa and Grandma Daniel this past weekend and they showed me some pics and complained that they had to wait so long before they would be out to see all of you.

God bless you all, and have a great Holiday Season!
