Sailor Child

The setting: Grocery store
Characters: Sofia and Mom
Background: Sofia refuses to stay seated in the grocery cart

Mom: Sofa, will you sit down please? Thank you!

Sofia laughs without sitting.

Mom: Sofia, sit down please.

Sofia laughs, again, without sitting.

Mom: Sofia! Sit!

Sofia: Shit! Shit! Shit!

We might have to work on the "s" sound.

Hee hee. That's awesome.

Zach's first word was shit. And he wasn't trying to say "sit." :)

My magical way of getting Isaac not to pull things out of the grocery cart and drop them on the floor--his favorite game--is to give him a whole apple. It takes him the entire shopping trip to finish it.

Well, did she sit? She definitely likes to stand up for some reason, silly girl.

Actually, I think she was making a rather perceptive comment on the shape of the current economic crisis as well as the difficulties of global warming, hunger, etc! Smart kid! :-) Can she run for office?

That's funny. At least she is learning new words. Some don't need to be repeated. Thanks for the birthday present. I can get some more songs now. If your wondering how my birthday was it was fine but my younger sister was hitting and digging her nails in me, and still being annoying. But it was still fun.

Thank you again. Love you and talk to you later.

OH FUNNY!!
iT NOT ONLY MADE ME LAUGH BUT MY ENTIRE BRIDGE CLUB ENJOYED THE TALE. OF COURSE EACH HAD A STORY TO TELL OF THEIR CHILD REARING DAYS. THANKS FOR REKINDLING OUR JOYOUS YEARS. YES, THEY WERE JOYOUS YEARS IF AT TIMES WE WONDERED.
