Today I am thankful for perfect timing. Last night, as I was getting ready to go to sleep, I heard a weird noise coming from the kids' room. I opened up their door to find Sofia moaning and in tears because she had thrown up. Everywhere.
It was gross.
BUT thankfully, because I am on fall break, I was able to keep her (and Nico, just in case) home from school and not miss any work or scramble to figure out subs or daycare. That was a nice feeling.
Today I got to be a full-time caretaker. It wasn't what I had anticipated for my last day of vacation but any unexpected days with the kids is always special. And for this, I am thankful.
